Defensive Mechanisms II.

Defensive Mechanisms II is a roughly 10 cm3 size sculpture made of see-through plastic rings and spiked wooden tips. This piece was a reaction to how people react to their surrounds and when they feel that they are challenged emotionally by another person. Their actions are reminiscent of those of a hedgehog, they show their spikes to the world. Bada however thinks that defence can be counter productive, by closing up, one loses opportunities to experience new things. That is why one of the spikes faces inwards and not outwards.
